At the age of 3 years - Renick always had
to dance the "Tamboo" for his family. At this time Renick realized that
he got rhythm and the gift to entertain people. At the age of seven he imitated dance routines of groups like the Jackson-Five. His family was too poor to send Renick to a dancing school - so he learned everything by himself and turned into a street dancer. Because he did not have a radio, his TV was always on. As soon as he heard music from the tv - he started to dance. At the beginning of the eighties - a new dance started to infiltrate all over the world - breakdance was ruling the world of dancers. And suddenly there was work for street dancers. Renick was one of the best dancers of the Caribbean islands. He was even offered a role in the motion picture movie "Willemstad Boogie Breakers" from Willem Stad. |
