So, as you know we are a website which speaks about Disneyland, so have
you ever been to Disneyland as a guest and what do you think about the
resort? Yes, I was here I think twice before, and I really loved it, especially now I have a son. Hes three and a half years old. And its the best thing for him. He loves Pirates of the Caribbean. He loves the ride. Its not too hard for him, not too difficult. He likes it. So of course since my boys here its even more interesting for an adult with children. Why did you choose the theme Pirates. Were you in some way inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean, the movie or the attraction maybe? No. Actually, it was because we wanted to have a very special stage. So we wanted to have a long stage. And a ship is the only thing possible, it could be a And if it is a ship, it has to be a pirate ship, because thats the only interesting thing. So that was the reason why. Do you know well the universe of Disney? Do you have a favorite character for example? I think I like Daniel Dusentrieb (Gyro Gearloose in English, note). Do you know him? Yes. He is a very side character, but I like him a lot. And did you ride Buzz, the new attraction at Disneyland here? Which one? Buzz? |
Buzz
Lightyear Laser Blast. Is it already open? Not yet, but its open for the press and the VIPs too. Oh no, no. I never euh I have to I think! Yes you should. So, I had a very important question. Who decided to make you come here? Did you decide to come here, or did Disneyland invite you? Yes, Disneyland invited us. They saw our tour in Germany. And they said "its the perfect kind of show for the park". Its family entertainment, its pirates, its wild, its nasty, its fun. Its not Its perfect for families. And thats true. So they invited us. And there was 4 shows that should have been hold here. Only one is planed now. So what do you think about this? Because this is too bad. I dont know. Actually, its a Normally, we play very very big venues when we do the shows, up to 20 000 capacity. But this is Paris, so France is different. Actually, Im happy that we play one show. And we are going to give the best we can, and thats the most important thing. So as you know youre not well-known in France, and thats too bad I think. Do you plan to release a CD in France, or a single? Of course we love to. Release an album I had some releases in France. That was "Chihuahua", which was my biggest hit in France. Actually, we never had the chance to release a second song after "Chihuahua". "Chihuahua" was so special that people thought Im a one-hit wonder so they didnt recognize that DJ BoBo is something that is on the market for years and "Chihuahua" is a mambo, a very special kind of song. I made this song for a TV commercial. Actually I think its very difficult. Its like all the other one-hit wonders. Maybe its very hard for me to be successful in France because I have no history here. And if you ask about the history, they will say "Ah Chihuahua! Yeah its nice!" So they dont know that its lot more than only one song. Indeed. Do you plan to make another show after Pirates of Dance? Yes, definitely. We want to come on another tour. And it will take a few years, one or two, or three We dont know how long it will take. So we will come on another tour, with another theme and then we will see! Hopefully, we will come back to France. We hope so too because everyone who heard your songs here in France just love it now! Thank you! You shot a clip for "Secrets of Love" here in the Sleeping Beauty Castle. How did it feel to shoot here in Disneyland? It was lovely. We had the opportunity to use the original set of the castle and to use the outfit of a princess and Im a Prince. It was very very nice to have these outfits. We had to shoot in 8 hours. It was a night shooting. We had a lot of fire, and light, and everything. It was beautiful! The result is gorgeous. I like the video a lot. We heard that youre going to hold a free concert in Switzerland on the 1st of August. We heard that the scene was going to be a red cross A white cross! (laughter) A white cross, sorry! Is that true? And how will it be organized? Yeah, its a Swiss cross actually, which is a white cross. Its open-air, so we ask the people the audience to come with red t-shirts. So if everyone is around with red t-shirts, its gonna be a very big Swiss flag! And people are coming from many countries. I dont have the exact plan how big this stage is gonna be and everything but it will be very nice and its gonna be a one show to say thanks to the fans for their loyalty in the last 13 years. We are gonna play a greatest hits kind of show with all the hits. Yeah, Im looking forward to that. Its gonna be very special. I hope the sun will shine on that day. 1st of August is the Swiss National Celebration Day where we celebrate every year and in Switzerland thats the day where we shoot the firework. So its gonna have a big firework at the end. Yeah Im looking forward to that. Everywhere we can read that youve made a second duet with Sandra. Is that true and if this is true can you tell us more about this single? Yeah, we made a deal actually. She said "I want one song with you for my album" and I said "OK, you can have one duet for your album and Ill take one for my album". So "Secrets of Love" is actually out. Its very good. Shes having a ballet that she will put on her album and we will see. Hopefully, the people will like it too. I dont know if its gonna be a single as well. I dont know. Especially in France, do you know any French singer and would you like to have a duet with one French singer maybe? Oh, I know many French artists from the young artists like Lorie to euh Oh my God. Johnny Halliday the Legend. I know so many. I mean I was here If youre in Switzerland, youre influenced by France a lot. That means we know what kind of music is played in France. So we know many French artists : Florent Pagny and all those artists we know. So I think I would love to do a duet with Lorie, yes, it would be nice. But maybe Im too old for her ! With 38 its quite old for a shes now 24, 22, 23 something like that ! I met her I think two or three years ago in Monte-Carlo, at the World Music Awards. Shes a very nice and professional person and you never know OK. We will see this soon but how do you prepare before every concert? This is an important question for every fan. Well, lets say three hours before I have to eat something, then I go to warm up lets say 1 hour before. We start to warm up the voice, the muscles We stretch a lot, and the musicians star to warm up The tremblers start to warm up So lets say twenty minutes before were ready, and then we go out and we play as good as we can! And you sing live ! Not every singer sing live. Dont you feel special about this? Oh No, no no Sometimes, I mean Performing live, dancing live, singing live, playing with a live band is much more fun. It really is much more fun. But you need self-confidence. You really need self-confidence because not everything is gonna be perfect that way. But I think people dont care about this. They want to see some mistakes, they want to see that its live, that its real. So I think its even more special Everyone should be live ! If possible of course ! You need money to have a band. You need a lot of more equipment. So, I like it. OK. Well, thank you very much. |
