"I've always believed in a better world".

Slowly you
turned from the musician in the dance style into comprehensible singer. Does it offend
you? Not at all. In 1998 I alternated from a rap to singing. It was an advantage. What are they - your visions? "Visions" originally was only the title of a tour. I wanted a visual tour, the show of visions and entertainments. I composed three songs especially for this theme: "Rock My World", a song which would open the show - "Visions" in a style of violent rock in R&B-Groove, and also "One Vision One World". The rest 14 songs are usual songs in a pop style. A lot of your lyrics tell us about a safe world. On stage you are also a preacher. I've always believed in a better world. Older songs such as "Respect Yourself" and "Freedom" also belong to this theme. Probably a couple years ago people not so frequently paid their attention on the lyrics. The musician can be naive. He can say I believe in a safe world. Nevertheless due to my music I've seen a lot of different countries of the world. Either in Mongolia or in the South America my music skipped all borders and religions. For this reason some of my songs are closer to people than politicians with their huge speeches. The beauty of a safe world is, of course, naive, but I am what I am. The lyrics can be also taken from the other songs as well as from the Bush's speech. Yes, we can do it almost with every song. Everywhere people find a line which once was already written by someone. And I can only laugh at Bush's speech. Can you benefit from Ski-WM in St. Moritz? For the first time Ski-WM-Song was apprehended. A couple years ago something like this wouldn't interest anybody. What about "Chihuahua 2002"? I will be a summer hit. It has already taken the first positions in Spain and Mexico. It will be also released in France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Japan. In Switzerland and Austria it will happen only in the beginning of June. I got an order from the "Coca-Cola" Company in Spain for the advertising announcement with Rastaman who always says Chihuahua. "Do You Remember" is a very personal song about your son: "we are gonna guide you through your life". First I always laughed when I heard something like this. It was so insipid and romantic. Suddenly I had a desire to make something similar. First I thought I wouldn't be able to. Then I played it for Nancy. She liked it. And how are you as a father? It's unbelievable feeling. Now I know what people who with such a delight told me about their babies expressed . If Jamiro cries at night we both get up. Nancy changes the diapers and I prepare a food for him. Once I told in "Schweizer Illustrierten" that I don't change the diapers because they badly smell. Reactions were very massive. It has already became a national subject for the discussions. Of course, I would change the diapers. |
