"Any chance but we'll do our best!
Lucerne. Vampire DJ BoBo. He will represent Switzerland on Eurovision Song
Contest with the song "Vampires Are Alive".
Its title doesnt inspire for the first time. But during next weeks it will be
broadcasted at all European radio stations.
The time has come for our vampires: May, 10 Helsinki. Read the interview with DJ
BoBo given below.
Why should
the TV-watchers from Malta, Macedonia and Moldova give their votes for
you? Because the theme of the song is quite specific, but its a good song. I believe in this song, because its a good basis for performance. But why the title is so gloomy? Maybe it can look gloomy, but I consider it as a kind of joke. Its amazing and emotional title. How did you come to this? From the very beginning we had 2 titles. The first one was about a cosmic ship which is crashed on a planet. At the same time we worked on vampires. But one moment I realized that the title of the cosmic ship is unemotional and to develop something more with it will be hardly possible. But our vampires do have feelings, they are alive. This theme is very wide and we can full with it our entire next album. Last Eurovision contests show us that it can happen not how it was planned. Are you afraid of it? A little. Really we dont have any chance, but anyway well do our best! It seems you addressed to themes of the last contests winners. You took a bit from Lordi and a bit from Ruslana. I analyzed the results of TV-watchers votings but not themes of the winners. And I made a conclusion that songs which get votes from neighbor countries win. It makes me confident. Are you waiting for more fame? No more fame! DJ BoBo is only performance. Its a pure show, 100% DJ BoBo. Have you listened to songs of your competitors? Of course. I have listened to all that I had to listen. Did you like something? For example Denmark has a powerful song. Also I liked Estonia. Im sure this contest will be very professional. And Im glad. |
